Yann Gindre

Senior executive with global experience In Corporate Investment Banking, Hedge Funds with a front to back experience. Current and previous roles include CEO Natixis The Americas & CEO Natixis UK. MD Global Head  of DCM at JP Morgan Chase, UBS and Barclays Capital and Global Head of Markets at Commerzbank. Yann was also a Director at UNPRI. He is currently Deputy Chairman and Head of Advisory board of Akoni, a Fintech start-up in Financial services focusing on improving Financial outcome for SME’s.

Growth investor aligning businesses with the related management and the driving of risk adjusted returns. Yann holds an MBA from London Business School.

Melinda Phillips

As CEO of Housing 21, a national organization specialising in older people’s services, she led a strategy to build a domiciliary care business from start-up which in 10 years was the 5th largest in the UK. This was achieved through a mixture of acquisitions and growth and expertise in specialist services such as dementia care. 

25 years of business experience and charity experience as CEO of 2 of the largest not-for-profit but highly commercial organisations in the UK with substantial assets and a range of care and health services. 

Both organisations worked with central and local government but also used a number of different financial instruments to fund its work. These included PFI, PPP and joint ventures companies. She was influential in national policy on housing, ageing and care issues, and has worked with regulators, commissioners, financiers and developers to understand and develop the market. 

She has also advised the Guernsey parliament on their health and care services, has worked with Savills on their senior living services and been an advisor to the care home industry. 

Edwin Godfrey

Edwin is chairman of Purple and is also a trustee of the international disability charity CBM UK and the UK member of the supervisory assembly of CBM International in Germany, a trustee of Herts Vision Loss, a governor of Presdales School Academy Trust and chair of the finance committee of All Saints Church, Hertford.

His past appointments in the disability field include serving as chairman of ecdp ventures limited, as a trustee of the disability arts centre, Zinc (formerly Theatre Resource) and as a trustee of the disability arts organisation, Shape.  He is a Freeman of the City of London and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Edwin has spent his whole career as a lawyer in the City of London, specialising in corporate transactions and commercial contracts.  He was a partner for 27 years at Simmons & Simmons, and has recently retired from a consultancy role on behalf of CMS Cameron McKenna. 

He has exceptional M&A experience, ranging from major international deals to successive small acquisitions to consolidate a variety of industry sectors.  Highlights include acting for the Orkla group in the creation of the world’s largest aluminium extrusion company by the merger of the interests of Sapa AB and Alcoa Inc, involving 40 industrial plants in 18 countries; for BASF on the £900 million acquisition of Boots Pharmaceuticals; and for Elkem on transactions in Norway, the USA and South Africa.

Among other appointments, he has been a council member of the International Bar Association’s Section on Business Law, and chair of the Commercial Law Committee of the City of London Law Society.  He holds an MA in law from Cambridge University.

Gael Dutheil de la Rochere

Barrie Childe

Barrie is a Six Sigma Black belt with extensive experience and knowledge in corporate operational improvements having managed a portfolio of key accounts including B&Q, Wickes, Jen Weld, Travis Perkins optimizing operational performance and developing world class customer experience. Broad experience across different sectors, Logistics, Automotive, Manufacturing. Proven track record implementing strategic business plans and design and development of services post-merger and realignment.

Highly adaptable and enthusiastic leader with ability to assimilate new cultures quickly. COO at Board level with over 35 years’ experience managing and motivating large teams. Who injects pace into organizations and delivers results through change management and business process re-engineering. Value added by challenging established practices and delivering creative solutions to complex business problems.

Appointed Director to manage the demerger of DX Ltd from Hays Group (2002-2003) achieved £200m revenue base on an operating cost base of £98m. Delivered cost savings against the annual budget year on year and reduced operational spend by £62m over 10 years.

Jed Wootten

Jed has handpicked a demographically diverse team with substantial expertise in merger and acquisitions. As a founder and director, he is responsible for coordinating company founding operations, identifying strategic partners, and setting the tonality for company’s culture to become “custodians for our customer’s safety, security and peace of mind”.


As a former SME founder and owner he has lived the challenges facing other small businesses and has a deep desire to work with other small business owners directly to reach targets far in advance of what is considered possible.
