2How much is my business worth?
This is a complex question so we prefer to use a simple calculation of 3-5x the EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortisation) as a guide. We understand that sometimes Directors choose to remunerate themselves with a low salary and dividends and we can adjust for circumstances like this.
3How do you compile an offer?
We are flexible on the terms and the price of the business and are looking to pay good money for good businesses. Our offers are based upon the proven historic financials of the business and the terms agreed with the vendor given their own individual circumstances and needs. It is essential to us that we understand how we can help you achieve your goals for a mutually beneficial outcome.
4How quickly can I get an offer?
Within 24 hours of OSG receiving the required information and having a confidential chat to see exactly what you are looking to achieve. The items required are: 1. The past 3-5 year’s financial statements. 2. Any forecasts that exist. 3. A summary or copies of all employment contracts. 4. A summary or copies of any significant lease obligations. 5. A summary of any significant legal suits. 6. Any supplementary information that you/we may consider relevant. After our review, it is our intention to begin substantive negotiations arriving at a letter of intent and continuing due diligence effort
5How long does it take to sell my business to OSG?
This varies depending on the size and quality of the information that the business can supply us. As a general rule 3 months but we can work faster.
6What will happen to my business and staff once I have sold?
Our business aims are simple and straightforward. It is our intention to purchase, partner and continue to grow businesses with the existing management team and staff remaining in place by adding support where it is required.
7How are you funded?
The consideration payable under any Offer may be met from a combination of the cash invested by OSG board members and via our network of debt funding providers. To achieve the highest valuations we do offer the opportunity for vendors to boost their valuations by participating in vendor loan notes.
